The Van Staal VM150 is a new development bringing strength and power together in machined aluminium and steel.
This reel comes with a changeable left or right hand retrieve, holds 350 yards of 30lb braid (probably more with thinner braid now available) and can handle up to 30lbs of drag stopping power.
The aluminium and steel construction gives you enough strength to handle big and exotic sport fish, with precision gears and smooth drag that make it a dual reel for boat and shore.
As with all Van Staal's - this is a pretty bullet proof reel, but for lure anglers fishing from shore, you will find this on the heavy side and unbalanced, especially on a sub 8" rod.
