Welcome to Bassmasters!
Whilst our core focus is catching Bass on lures, we do still enjoy catching other species when bass don't show OR it's just not practical to go sea fishing. We have therefore added a range of fresh and general salt water lures to our bass range, indicating species each lure is most effective for.
Although some may class us as trophy or specimen hunters, we generally use light rods with tough gear, including line to ensure the balance between experiencing the best sport doesn't come at the price of losing specimen fish. We feel there is nothing worse than using gear that is too light to manage big fish when they do show up.
The key for us is getting the rod right first, as this will play a huge part in how exciting and animated each fight will be, irrespective of the size of the fish. There is a growing range of light rods on the market that perform very well whether you are catching mackerel, small pollack or bigger fish over 10lb.
Lure Fishing forms part of our daily lives, whether we are out guiding, testing new products OR just out enjoying the sport, so please bear with us if you call or email. The phones are generally staffed throughout the year, but ocassionally you may need to leave a message and allow 24 hours response time.
Our role is to encourage people to take up the sport and support our customers in helping them achieve the best results possible. We pride ourselves in only recommending products we have used successfully and will always base our advice on best practices. We are not afraid to tell our customers that a product is not suitable for their purposes and try our best to find an alternative.
All staff are either keen lure anglers or pro guides.
